I love the Sound In Silence Music Label! Known for releasing high quality atmospheric & organic electronic and post rock music, Sound In Silence is one of the greatest hidden gems your best music friend (me!) has not talked about in great lengths. The Green Kingdom‘s “Seen And Unseen” is the latest album from the beautiful Sound In Silence Records. Seven truly eye-opening tracks round out this beautiful sonic ambient journey.
The Green Kingdom’s “Seen and Unseen” has been in my personal playlist rotation quite heavily as of recently. As a truly cinematic experience, I believe this album has something to offer for everyone. Seemingly mainly inspired by post rock and ambient genres & cinematic music, The Green Kingdom is not new to music production. This aural genius has provided work for the likes of the legendary Dronarivm, Own Records, and Archivesdub music labels. “Seen and Unseen” marks the artist’s dozen album, according to Discogs*

Sound In Silence is proud to welcome The Green Kingdom to its family, presenting his new album Seen And Unseen.
The Green Kingdom is the solo project of Michael Cottone, a sound artist and graphic designer based in Michigan, USA. Interested in creating compositions which blur the lines between soundscape and structure while keeping a sharp focus on melody, his pieces are crafted using a variety of instruments, electronic sources, sampled textures and field recordings.
Since 2006 he has released several sublime albums and EPs on labels such as Lost Tribe Sound, Dronarivm, Home Assembly Music, Nomadic Kids Republic, Own Records, Tench, Flaming Pines and many others. He has also put out two releases, an album on Archives label and an EP on Hello Strange label, with his dub techno/ambient side-project Dustcraft.
Seen And Unseen is an enchanting album of seven new tracks, with a total duration of something more than 40 minutes. Cottone skillfully blends together soothing electric guitar swells, lush textures of warm synth pads, rich harmonic drones and subtle glitches with acoustic elements of delicate piano, ringing acoustic guitar arpeggios, relaxed kalimba melodies and lightly strummed ukulele chords, resulting in one of his finest works to date .
Expertly mastered by George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave), Seen And Unseen is an evocative album of introspective ambient bliss which appeals to all fans of artists like Ryuchi Sakamoto, Alva Noto, The Boats, Helios and Federico Durand.

Review by AG, 9/11/18:
“Seen and Unseen” opens with a beautiful retrospective downtempo melody of true class in “Kodama“. This track teases the listener of further things to come with sweet, subtle piano melody and ambiance. Track two, entitled “Illuminations (dub)” is a dreamer’s delight, as The Green Kingdom slowly unfolds with harmonious pads and drawn out rhythm — proving to be an excellent track for slowing down at the end of the day. As “Seen And Unseen” continues, the listener encounters cinematic twinkling crescendo and an eerie sense of suspense in “Woolen Sky“. “Cloud Wanderings” takes the listener for a voyage inside of a blissful soundscape. Beautiful gentle piano is introduced in the midpoint of the track; The Green Kingdom consistently provides active listeners with dreamy rewards. As the album approaches its final tracks, “Dorado” contains a beautiful serene melody throughout, as clashing guitars fade and the artist’s ability to create minimalistic melody is yet again highlighted and showcased. “Breathing Sea” continues with a hazy theme and features highly unforgettable acoustic guitar at the halfway point of the track. Inspiring acoustic melodies truly elevate the listener… Lastly, “Sleeping Forest” closes out this truly unforgettable, serene voyage with heavy use of soulful piano and rain effects.
Thanks to Sound In Silence and The Green Kingdom for producing and curating this amazing album.
